Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Ruwad Connect, including the web platform, desktop application, and all related services. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Definitions

  • "Service" refers to the Ruwad Connect web platform, API, desktop application, and all related services.
  • "Organization" refers to the company or entity that has created an account on Ruwad Connect.
  • "Administrator" refers to a user with administrative privileges within an Organization.
  • "Member" refers to any user invited to an Organization by an Administrator.
  • "Content" refers to data, screenshots, reports, and other information generated through use of the Service.

2. Account Registration

To use Ruwad Connect, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You must be at least 16 years old and have the legal authority to agree to these Terms. If you are registering on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You shall not:

  • Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Use the Service to monitor individuals without proper consent and legal basis
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without authorization

4. Employee Monitoring & Consent

Organizations using Ruwad Connect for employee time tracking and activity monitoring are responsible for:

  • Obtaining proper consent from employees and team members before enabling monitoring features
  • Complying with all applicable labor laws, employment regulations, and data protection legislation in their jurisdiction
  • Informing members about what data is collected, how it is used, and their rights
  • Configuring monitoring settings (screenshots, verification, activity tracking) in accordance with local legal requirements

Ruwad Connect provides tools for transparency (visible tracking indicators, consent prompts) but the Organization bears responsibility for legal compliance in their use of monitoring features.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

Some features of Ruwad Connect require a paid subscription. Subscription terms:

  • New accounts receive a free trial period as indicated during registration
  • After the trial, a paid subscription is required to continue using premium features
  • Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis; contact support for refund requests
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers

6. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you and your organization members submit to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

Upon termination, you may request an export of your data. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to provide data in a standard format within 30 days of request.

7. Desktop Application

Use of the Ruwad Connect desktop application is subject to additional terms:

  • The application requires operating system permissions for screen capture and optionally camera access
  • You are responsible for ensuring the application is installed and used in compliance with your organization's policies
  • The application may automatically update to the latest version for security and compatibility
  • Uninstalling the application removes all locally stored data

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from service interruptions, whether planned or unplanned.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ruwad Connect shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Ruwad Connect. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or other brand features.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if your subscription lapses. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the Service will cease
  • You may request a data export within 30 days
  • After 30 days, your data may be permanently deleted
  • Outstanding payment obligations remain enforceable

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, binding arbitration.
